I attended the Johnson’s Master Class by Nilo Haq (well known and famous MUA and a beauty blogger) organised by Johnson’s along with Tish Tash Marketing & public Relations and Illumin8 Media Makeup Studio, on 2nd June 2016.
About Nilo Haq – She is a Pro MUA and a beauty blogger at desibeautyblog.com. based in Toronto, she is associated to many brands like Uniliver’s Pond’s, Mikyajy. She has also worked as a Makeup artist with MAC Cosmetics, Alexander Zouari Paris, and TONI&GUY . She has taken one on one classes with industry best makeup artists including renowned Pat McGrath, the Ambassador of Max Factor, Nabila Maqsood of NABILA’S, Nighat Misbah, as well as top institutions like Illamasqua and is certified by MAC Pro Certifications.
It was organized at the Illumin8 Makeup Studio, the session started at 2pm and Nilo created 4 different looks. I attended the first two session, in which she created Ramadan Look (Smoky) and Eid Look (Glittery).
During the entire session she gave many tips and tricks on how to make good use of your brushes while blending, applying blush and also while highlighting. What brushes are good and how much should you spend on the brushes. Her favorite brushes are 217 by MAC that is the blending brush. She love stippling brushes and has both MAC and Make-up Forever brushes.
She made good use of the Johnson’s wipes through out her class. Johnson’s wipes are too good and gentle on the skin. They even wipe of the waterproof mascara and even the Inglot Black Eye liner. A tip she shared to wipe of the eye makeup is to place the wipe on the eye for a while and let the eye get wet and then wipe off, in this way the eye make up is wiped of easily. She also mentioned if your mascara comes on your eye lid while applying do not clean it instantly, rather just wait for it to dry and then trip it of with a q-tip.
It was a great learning experience, knowing about the makeup more closely.
Thanks to Johnson’s and Nilo Haq along with Tish Tash & Illumin8.
Until next time…
